A friend told me about mountain lions living on some nearby mesas. On one mesa, with a given number of mule deer, was probably one lion. On the other mesa, with more deer, between one and five lion! I’ve hiked those mesas many times, and the hikes would’ve been enhanced had I known about these magnificent beasts. Why didn’t I know about those lion? This was something I ‘needed’ to know.

WildObs.com has pages for category per region because of this conversation.
